Where is the Barbuda Belle Resort?
Barbuda is around 60kms north of the island of Antigua. From Antigua, you can cross from Antigua by either ferry or plane. The only way to get to the Barbuda Belle is by boat. The staff from the Barbuda Belle meet you at the dock or airport and whisk you off to the resort by speed boat.

The Barbuda Belle Resort
The eight beachfront stilted bungalows at Barbuda Belle are spaced out along the beach so that you feel as if you have the whole place to yourself.
Outside your bungalow, the clear waters of the Caribbean beckon you across the pink sand. Your sunbed and parasol await you.
The gentle warm sea breeze from the Caribbean sighs through seagrass as you make your way along the wooden pathways to your Bungalow. The white sand is tinged with pink from millions of tiny shells.
The Bungalows at the Barbuda Belle Resort
Inside is cool and calm. The shutters open to reveal floor-to-ceiling windows with a view straight out to the beach.
The comfortable king-sized bed with crisp white linen with mosquito nets to protect you at night. Plenty of space to hang your clothes and a complimentary dressing gown and slippers to use during your stay.
A side-table with water, tea and coffee making facilities and delicious home-made biscuits, is ready and waiting for you.
TOP TIP: Take a Universal Plug Adapter with you as the Bungalows use European style plugs as well as American plugs.
The bungalow has its own private wifi connection and large dressing table which doubles as a desk if you need to work.
The ensuite bathroom is tiled with a toilet, bidet and luxurious large walk-in shower with views out to the mangroves. The toiletries are all by l’Occitane and as well as shampoo and conditioner there is also a comb, scrub mit, shower cap and soap.
Each bungalow has its own private large balcony. Sit on the rustic sofas and take in the views towards the sea and also over the mangroves in the Codrington Lagoon Park.
The Pelican Bungalow has two bungalows sharing a central balcony, which is ideal for families.
Facilities at the Barbuda Belle Resort
Barbuda Belle has the whole beach solely for the use of its guests. Swim or snorkel in the warm Caribbean Sea. Arrange an accompanied kayaking tour of the nearby lagoon and Frigate Bird Sanctuary. Sit back, relax and just let your mind wander.

For a luxurious pampering session, head over to the spa. Built in 2019 in a Balinese style, the spa is sheltered from the sun (and prying eyes) with soft curtains and blinds.
Using l’Occitane products you will be soothed and massaged, preened and pampered.
For drinks, the Jelly Tree Bar in the Clubhouse is the place to be. Order your pre-dinner cocktail and relax in one of the wicker chairs or sink into one of the deep sofas while drinking a Wadadli local beer.
The lighting is soft and through the tall windows, you can watch the sun setting and the stars come out.
Food and Drink at the Barbuda Belle Resort
With a French gourmet chef heading the kitchen, the food is of a very high standard using local ingredients including fresh fish and seafood with a French influence.
Breakfast: Sit on the verandah of the Clubhouse and take in the amazing vista in front of you while you have your breakfast.
Choose from the menu offering fresh fruit and a pot of delicious homemade fresh yoghurt, eggs any way you want, sausage, bacon, muesli, tea, coffee, hot chocolate or maybe a fresh lemongrass tea.
While your breakfast is being prepared a basket freshly baked rolls, croissants and melt-in-the-mouth pan au chocolat.
Lunch: The canopied verandah at the Clubhouse, makes it an ideal place to eat. The lunch menu is à-la-carte or the chef can make a recommendation. Vegan, vegetarian and other dietary requirements can be catered for, just notify when making your booking.
Dinner: Upstairs in the Mangrove Restaurant, dinner starts with a silky smooth amuse-bouche. The à-la-carte menu takes advantage of the succulent locally caught seafood and local ingredients. There is also a chef’s special to tempt you. Maybe breaded conch with buttered leeks or risotto with scallops. And don’t miss out on the delicious puddings.

The Barbuda Belle is solar-powered to keep in with the ethos a minimal environmental footprint.
Hurricane Irma in 2017
Visiting the Barbuda Belle, you would not believe that it had been hit by Hurricane Irma in 2017. So bad was the damage that it took a year of hard work to get the resort back up and running. During the building, the new Spa was added and a bungalow, bringing the total up to 8.
Overall Verdict
The Barbuda Belle Resort is the perfect place for a honeymoon, special birthday, anniversary, or just because you deserve it! Peace, serenity and luxury rolled into one.
You will feel relaxed the minute you step off the boat. The staff are attentive but discreet. You will arrive as a guest and leave as a friend

I love the beach at the Barbuda Belle Resort, it’s bright and looks very soft. I just can imagine how relaxing your trip was!
